Raw samples are washed, dried and disassociated.
Composite Sieve Analysis
This analysis will determine the gradation of a sample.
Sieve sizes include applicable sizes thru No. 200 mesh.
Sphericity and Roundness
Test uses the Krumbein-Sloss Chart to quantify sphericity and roundness.
This test will also indicate the presence of clusters.
Acid Solubility
Indicates the presence of impurities in the sand.
Crush Resistance
Also known as a crush test, this will determine the strength of a proppant.
The lab offers two crush resistance test options:
K-value – This involves testing a sample at multiple stresses to determine a samples strength.
Closure stress – This involves testing the strength of a sample at a single customer specified stress value.
Bulk Density
Describes the mass of material that fills a unit volume.
